I’ve been working on my Mediterranean pictures this week…thousands to go through before I can pick out my favorites! However, my 4-year old nephew, Korbin, has declared that the ruins are his favorites. All of them… For now, you only get one

Did you miss me??? Over the past few weeks, I enjoyed the sites, sounds and cultures of Spain, Southern France, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Thousands of images were captured, millions of memories stored and many miles walked.
Each day was exhausting but I was energized by the breathtaking views, stunning art and architecture and incredible history.
In the next few weeks I’ll be combing through the thousands of pictures to find my absolute favorites and will create a new web gallery. In the meantime, here are a few of my cellphone faves as a little taste. Do you have a favorite?

Summer arrived this past week…at least it did on the calendar! Perfect time for picnics and a little trip up to the ski resorts The views from Snowbird are spectacular this time of year! We road the tram up to the summit - enjoyed the landscape and the crisp, clear air. There was still snow on the ground up top but not enough this year to keep the lifts open this late. An amazing place!
Over the next few weeks, I will be enjoying the Mediterranean sun. I’ll miss a couple of Project 52 posts but be sure I’ll make it up to you when I get back!

Another week of 2013 has closed out. It was a relatively quiet week for me…nothing dramatic or earth-shattering to report. BUT the pools were opened and the sun was out (for most of the time!)
As summer officially approaches, I’m getting prepped for trips, races and family fun. Looking forward to everything!!!

P.S. No pictures this week – not that I didn’t take any….It just doesn’t seem in the cards to upload them today 
Today is one of those days where you sleep in and BBQ…..and remember those you’ve loved and lost and those who have served our country.
A few years ago, I was honored to visit the Normandy American Cemetary and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France where thousands of American soldiers have been laid to rest. Perched above the shores of Omaha Beach where so many lost their lives in World War II, their finally resting place is an inspiring setting. Walking through the rows upon rows of crosses and stars was humbling. Reading the Memorial walls filled with names was emotional – those who were never found or identified but fought in Normandy – especially when I came across a name that could very well be found in my family tree.
This experience was amazing and will always remind me of the sacrifices made by so many so that we could enjoy freedom today. To those that have served or who are currently serving, thank you!!!
